My family and I are going downstate tomorrow. I get to see our house for the first time. I'm excited. We get to pick out rugs and stuff too. I already have my paint color decided. It's called "Cypress Grove". It's really soft and lovely and it will compliment my new bold bedspread quite nicely.
I got a bunch of Christmas shopping done today. I hate how it seems like I never have time to do that stuff. I like to get gifts that the receiver would really appreciate. I love giving to my loved ones.
I believe we're getting our Christmas tree this weekend. It will be our last Christmas getting it at Richard's Tree Farm. I love the sleigh ride, the cutting down of the tree, and the hot apple cidar at the end...
I was thinking about the classic Christmas carol "Drummer Boy" this past week quite a bit. MercyMe does a great job illustrating the passion behind the boy's song. This boy had absolutely nothing of "worth" to give the King, but he offered all that he could: his song.
"Shall I play for You...? Shall I play for You...? Mary looked at me and nodded. The ox and lamb kept time. I played my drum for Him, I played my best for Christ...I played my best for Christ... Then He smiled at me..."
When I have finally finished playing my song for Christ, I look forward to Him smiling at me...
