an accident has occured.

my car was rammed into and shoved about 40ft from where it first began.

praise Jesus that i wasn't in the car.

there is 1, possibly 2 people injured from the other car.

what a shocking night this has been.

you know what's weird?

I don't even remember working yesterday, or that it was the 26th of December.

Isn't that weird?

It's like my brain was erased.

All I remember is Mom coming in with the mp3 player to exchange, and Matt telling me to drive home going "30 miles an hour if you have to" because the roads were bad.

And then I remember coming home...making food for the kiddos, and taking a nap (AT 7:30!) while watching Everybody Loves Raymond.

I don't really remember the first half of that day at all.

So weird.

News:
We're closing on our house this Friday. How stinkin' exciting is that?!!

Merry Christmas, Jesus.

A lot of people say that today is your "birthday". But I was thinking about it, and it's really not. Because you're God. You're Eternity itself. You were never born, you simply WERE and ARE. Today is just the celebration of when you took the form of a human being.

So Merry Christmas, Jesus.
You rock and You ARE the Rock.
Thanks for coming...
See you soon.

Joseph's Lullaby

Go to sleep my Son
This manger for your bed
You have a long road before You
Rest Your little head

Can You feel the weight of Your glory?
Do You understand the price?
Or does the Father guard Your heart for now
So You can sleep tonight?

Go to sleep my Son
Go and chase Your dreams
This world can wait for one more moment
Go and sleep in peace

I believe the glory of Heaven
Is lying in my arms tonight
But Lord, I ask that He for just this moment
Simply be my child

Go to sleep my Son
Baby, close Your eyes
Soon enough You'll save the day
But for now, dear Child of mine
Oh my Jesus, sleep tight

I would just like to say...

...that today has been a day of blessings.

The Lord kept sending me little gifts when I needed them most.

Thanks, God. You're the greatest.

rocketman...

What kind of person am I that I was moved to tears at the ending of NUMB3RS tonight...?

Hopefully not a pathetic one.

FYI to all my blogspot friends...

I switched over to the Blogger Beta because I was not allowed to post comments on friends' blogs because THEY had switched. So...of course that means that if you wish to leave a comment on here, you'll have to switch over to Beta.

I could be wrong. Give it a try. If it doesn't work then yeah...you'll probably have to switch.

Beta is pretty cool, don't worry about losing your template or anything like that, because mine is still all there.

I'll give a better update of my life sometime soon.

roadtrip

My family and I are going downstate tomorrow. I get to see our house for the first time. I'm excited. We get to pick out rugs and stuff too. I already have my paint color decided. It's called "Cypress Grove". It's really soft and lovely and it will compliment my new bold bedspread quite nicely.

I got a bunch of Christmas shopping done today. I hate how it seems like I never have time to do that stuff. I like to get gifts that the receiver would really appreciate. I love giving to my loved ones.

I believe we're getting our Christmas tree this weekend. It will be our last Christmas getting it at Richard's Tree Farm. I love the sleigh ride, the cutting down of the tree, and the hot apple cidar at the end...

I was thinking about the classic Christmas carol "Drummer Boy" this past week quite a bit. MercyMe does a great job illustrating the passion behind the boy's song. This boy had absolutely nothing of "worth" to give the King, but he offered all that he could: his song.

"Shall I play for You...? Shall I play for You...? Mary looked at me and nodded. The ox and lamb kept time. I played my drum for Him, I played my best for Christ...I played my best for Christ... Then He smiled at me..."

When I have finally finished playing my song for Christ, I look forward to Him smiling at me...

beautiful

a day in the life...of me.

So today I spent a good 10 minutes scraping snow and ice off my car's windshield before I went to work. Then when I got to the mall I remembered that Staples employees must park in the Sears's parking lot Friday-Sunday until after Christmas, so I had to walk through the mall. So I got to work JUST as my shift was about to begin. And then it was crazy.

It was busier than the day after Thanksgiving. Seriously.

Tim and I were in a "fight" all day. Tim's just a big doofus who likes to say that I'm not a leader, and that I'm a follower. And that I'm not a doer, I'm a watcher. Well. Tim. You can just go and shove that in the tail pipe of your car. You couldn't last 1 DAY in Copy Center. You think that we don't do anything, well you're wrong. Copy Center is one of the most stressful jobs ever. Because, at least in this store, not only are you a Copy Center Associate, you are also automatically the go-to cashier! GAH!

But. Seriously folks. I do not take anything that Tim says about me to heart. Tim's just a gentle giant.

Well. Actually, I take that back. Tim's a not-so-gentle giant. He could play linebacker for the Raiders. I said something in jest (about the commercials we have on the radio) and Tim says "Okay, that's it. I'm going to kill you." and he runs straight at me and almost knocks me over.
And then the rest of the evening he was a major pain in the buttocks.

*Sigh*

The perils of Rachelle...the Copy Center Associate.

Someone help me...please.
