<----me and my chocolateWhy is it that we, humans, oftentimes get more excited when a human says "I love you" than when God says "I love you"?
When I was belting out "When You Say You Love Me" with Josh Groban on my way home from PI tonight, I thought to myself...
"Why is it that when a human says that they love us we get all excited, and it's all we ever think about and we do everything we possibly can to make this person happy? But God has said countless times how much He loves us, we take it so lightly... Why?"
I want to get excited about the love that my King has wrapped up and sent to me in the most unpredictable package ever. A Book. Or more specifically, a Word. And that Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, full of grace and truth.....
How amazing.
Happy Valentine's Day my wonderful, blessed Savior.
How I love Thee.

GOOOOOOOD word Rachelle. How deep the Father's love for us! Maybe we don't get as excited because we don't allow ourselves to believe how passionately, deeply, and perfectly God loves us; His love is scandilous! and we aren't ready to accept that usually. I'm glad you have. Happy Belated V-Day!
:) Thanks, Lor! And I totally see where you're coming from in that we don't fully believe the depth of the love...
Happy Belated V-Day to you too!
I'm excited for you, Rachelle. You are spiritually perceptive at a relatively young age.
very GOOD dear friend!!!!!!! preach it sister! :) You're very right about not stopping to hear Jesus say how much he loves us..and now I feel like I let my true valentine down...Jesus should be all of our Valentines! Very eye opening! I love it!
